Privacy Policy — MarketTrench

What data we collect

When you install MarketTrench, we access:

• Your shop domain and basic store information, provided by Shopify during app installation.
• Review content from Judge.me, if you connect it: review text, star rating, product name, and date. We do not collect or store reviewer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or IP addresses — this data is deliberately excluded from what we retrieve, even when the review platform provides it. Loox support is planned but not yet available.

How we use this data

Review content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to identify recurring product defect themes and generate a report. Reports (themes, recommendations, and the review data used to produce them) are stored in our database so you can view your analysis history.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Where data is stored

Data is stored with Supabase, encrypted at rest. Access is restricted at the database level; only our application server can read or write your store's data.

Data retention and deletion

If you uninstall MarketTrench, your store's data (connected platform credentials and stored reports) is deleted from our systems, in line with Shopify's mandatory data protection requirements for apps.

You can also request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the email below.

Third-party processors

• Shopify — platform and store authentication.
• Judge.me — source of review content, only if you connect it. Loox support is planned but not yet available.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — processes review text to generate your analysis reports.
• Supabase — database hosting.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data under applicable data protection law (such as GDPR). Contact us to exercise these rights.
